To me, photography isn't about capturing the perfect smile in the perfectly posed portrait. It's about life. It's about that shirt you can't rid of, or the dress your toddler wants to wear day after day. It's about the too-cool-to-be-seen-with-mom-and-dad-teenager that can't hold back laughing at dad's goofy jokes. It reminds us of where we have been, and provides hope for where we will go. It preserves those precious moments in life that you don't want to pass. And one day when we have moved on, it leaves behind the pieces of our legacy.
