Baby Gracelyn // Birth Photography Los Angeles

When I picked up my phone and saw a couple missed calls and a text message from Caroline, my heart skipped a beat. After all, she wasn't due for another month. I quickly looked at her text but all that my brain focused on were the words "I'm pretty sure my water broke." I immediately called her thinking to myself, "it can't be the case, she's not due for 4 weeks! Maybe it was more of a trickle of water..." Talking to her over the phone only confirmed it; her water really had broken and she was making her way to the hospital. From that point on, sweet baby Gracelyn made sure we all knew who was in charge!  :)   Once I got to the hospital we all placed our little bets about when we thought Grace would be born. Most of our guesses were for the wee hours of the following morning. Even Caroline's nurse played along guessing she would be born around 4 am. Grace was out to prove us all wrong, arriving shortly after 1 am. I guess that just goes to show you that babies really do come on their own time, even down to the minute  :) Here's a look at her birth story and newborn session!
