Bird's Eye View of 2014 // Los Angeles Family Photography
As usual, I'm finding it really hard to believe that this is the last day of 2014. This year has certainly been one for the books. I have gotten the chance to work with so many amazing people - some for the first time and others for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time! 2014 saw me travel to some really wonderful places - New York (a few times), Pennsylvania, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, South Korea, Minnesota (for my grandma's 85th birthday), and Hawaii. What is a little mind boggling to me is that a good chunk of my traveling this year was for work (the first time in my years of business that I've traveled this much for work), and really enjoyed it! fun fact: I'll be heading to Calgary, Utah and Baltimore this January for work Personally, 2014 was a really tough year for me. I went through a lot of trials and challenges that often left me feeling extremely alone and not sure of what was to come. And yet while I was stuck in this emotional fog, so many wonderful opportunities and photography sessions happened. Each reminding me how much I have to be thankful for, and solidifying that this job of mine is what I'm called to do.
So, a big thank you to each of my clients for helping me in a way that you probably never realized. Not only did you trust me to document some of the most important moments in your lives, but you opened your hearts and welcomed me in. I'm forever grateful for each of you.
I'm looking forward to what 2015 may bring. I hope for all of my clients, and each person reading this, that 2015 will be filled with good health, belly laughs, hope, exciting moments, and the content feeling of home. Here's to the New Year! PS. There were a few births where I got to be IN-FRONT of the camera...so I decided to throw those in at the end :)
