Laie, Hawaii // FIND 2.0 workshop (part I)
A couple of months back I attended the FIND 2.0 workshop in Laei, HI with the ever awesome, Jon Canlas & Kristen Kalp. I have looked up to both of their work for years (aka stalked their blogs), so the two of them coming together for this workshop is like a dream team for me...and that is exactly what they were. There are so many things I could say about this workshop I'm not quite sure where to begin, but I will say that it was nothing short of amazing. The people (fellow attendees), location (freaking Laie, HI....just look at these pictures below!!), food (thank you a million times over Callie Canlas), Jon & Kristen being their awesome selves, and of course the content of the workshop made for such a great experience. I believe I mentioned something to this effect before in my blog post about FIND LA, but what I absolutely loved about the workshop is how real it is. No "do this and your business will succeed" crap. Just honest skills and tools that require quite a bit of hustling and hard work. I love that. I love people who work really hard for what they believe in. Being able to connect with other photographers who do just that is such a great bonus to this workshop. The support among the whole group is invaluable. And even though the workshop is 'done' we all keep in contact. Beyond awesome! If you are reading this post because you've been to the regular Film Is Not Dead workshop and/or have heard about FIND 2.0....DO IT. Just do it. I'm so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have attended and I know you will be too. Below are some pictures from my time in Hawaii...I will be posting more soon! :) hugs, Lauren
