Pasadena Birth Photography // Baby Michael
In my career as a birth photographer 99% of my mamas have their babies in the middle of the night. That's exaggerating a bit, but you can imagine my excitement when I received a text shortly before noon letting me know that a baby was on the way! Only a few moments after arriving at Lina's home her contractions started to pick up quite a bit. Yet, she was still so calm, walking around the house getting little things done in between contractions. Since her husband, Brian, was still making his way home, I grabbed a few books and cuddled up on the couch with the kiddos and read through a few of them. When Brian got home things began ramping up quite quickly. Brian, Nancy (Lina's doula), and I worked together to get the birth tub filled. Lina gladly hopped in and before we knew it Michael made his entrance shortly after 2 pm! I would like to think of Michael's birth as my unicorn birth...because wonderfully lit daytime births don't exist in the birth world...or at least haven't existed in mine until now ;) Thank you Lina for allowing me to be apart of such a beautiful and special moment in your family's life! Here is a look at Michael's birth story...
