i'm still alive.

Let me start this off by admitting how terrible I have been with blogging since being in NY! To my defense, my blog was having technical issues for a while, but those issues are now fixed and I have no reason not to blog! :) April 1st. I can't believe we are now in April. Where it's in the high 80's back at home, we here in NY woke up to a slight bit of snow on the ground today. Isn't April supposed to bring wonderful spring weather? I guess I can handle some more wintery weather since I won't experience this much back in California. I was just hoping my birthday would be sunny and at least in the 60's. Well NY, you have a day to get that right! ;) I have been lucky enough to have a few of my friends visit me for a couple of weeks. It started off with one of my best friends Taylor & her cousin Mackenzie, and when they left my roommates from CA Julissa & Kritsina came in! A pretty busy couple of weeks I must say between spending time with them, school, and my internship. As much as I am loving it here in NY, it has been really nice to have a piece of home here with me for a bit. First things first, Taylor & Mackenzie! I had such a fun time with these girls! They mostly did the whole tourist thing on their own, but there were a few things we got to do together that I had not yet done. One of which was the Staten Island Ferry! It's free, and takes you right by the Statue of Liberty. It parts from Battery Park, which is beautiful in itself so it was a fun little adventure. Austin & Tyler joined us for the Staten Ferry ride. Then another day we went to Magnolia Bakery, ate some yummy goods, & had a mini photo-shoot in central park, because we're girls...and that's what we do :) Love these goofy girls :)   So glad that these lovely ladies were able to visit me out here, love you guys!   Hugs, Lauren
