Los Angeles Birth Photography // Baby Josey
My heart skipped a beat as I saw Brittany's caller id pop up on my phone...I thought to myself, "please don't be having the baby this early...I'll be there next week!"
At this point I was in Canada for Hutch's newborn session and my flight was already booked to have me arrive in Utah one week before Josey's due date. Brittany and I were a bit nervous thinking there was a chance I would miss the birth. Little did we know Josey had a completely different plan in mind ;) I think we all breathed a sigh of relief once my flight landed in Utah, but the nerves didn't stop there. Anxiety grew as each passing day proved not to be the day Josey would grace us with her presence. Any mamas reading this know first hand how hard it is to give up any and all sense of control when it comes to having your babies (and kids in general)! Brittany's patience and perseverance during this waiting period was incredible. Between the end of her pregnancy and the birth itself, I gained an even stronger respect for Brittany (that's saying a lot given how much I already loved and adored her before Josey's birth). And in the end, it all worked out wonderfully! Brittany delivered Josey in the comfort of their home and I was lucky enough to be a witness to her first few days earth side! Here are some highlights of baby Josey's birth story... Ps. Check back in tomorrow to see Josey's newborn session!
