I had the honor of documenting the birth of one of my very best friend Sandra's newest addition about a month ago....her third little girl! I was on call for what seemed like a couple of weeks with this little one! There were quite a few days where we thought "today is the day!" but little Avery had other plans :)
I am so unbelievably proud of Sandra and Pat with this newest addition. Not only because new babies are exciting, but because Sandra had wanted from the beginning of her pregnancy to get through the birthing process without any pain medication. And she did it! With the help of her wonderful husband, doctor, and nurse, she delivered an 8 1/2 pound baby with NO pain medication. The second after Avery made her debut, Sandra said having her without medicine was so worth it!
