Slacker, anyone?
I have to admit; I am a FAILURE at keeping up with my blog. I have so much to post. Such cute photos to share. And what do I do? I let myself fall further and further behind. Yup, I am a highly skilled procrastinator. Except in this scenario, instead of busting things out in the last minute....I am not posting at all! I spit on myself. Okay, that may be a little dramatic, but I just want to share and don't push myself to do it. Maybe I need to start initiating deadlines? Yup! I think that is a brilliant idea! As I sit here typing, I can think up easily 5 blogs I have yet to post. One of those being more recent. But nonetheless, they keep piling up! Since it will take a tad bit of time to get all the blogs up (and I don't want to post them all in one day), I will share, for now, what has been going on recently. I am currently in Utah. Salt Lake to be exact. Utterly beautiful. And might I add, millions of places to shoot! Just driving around I find myself pointing at all different types of cool run down buildings, and beautiful textures/colors. I am jealous. So why am I here you might ask? I'm attending NicholeV's photography workshop. Totally awesome! She is hilarious, super nice, and really a great teacher. Some who do can't teach, but clearly this does not apply to Nichole in the slightest bit! She is such a great photographer and I'm so excited to have been able to attend one of her workshops. Today was the second day (out of three) of the workshop. Nichole was sweet enough to take headshots of all of the workshop attendees! I am excited to get mine. My website could use a nice picture of myself under the about me section :) Then we worked with off camera lighting. Super fun! But totally new to me. Here are a couple of shots in case you are wondering what off camera lighting may look like...well creatively I should say... Now, remember...this was my FIRST time using off camera lighting, so give me a break :) But I think these are not too bad for my first time. Not the BEST compositions, but good enough for now :) So, sadly tomorrow is the last day of the workshop, and I will be making the long trek back to So. Cal. (although not alone! due to my fabulous momma). I promise to blog the sessions that are in my head ;) I say in my head, because I know which ones that have yet to make it on here! with love, Lauren
